Let's face it, everyone want's to spice up their wine game every once and a while. That's why this page exists. Not to say wine is boring, but sometimes you just need something different, or have a desire to create something delicious and refreshing. Enjoy these bold and creative cocktails. Although we didn't create some of these recipes, we did put a little Bully Hill spin on them. Enjoy!!
Ginger-Lime Spritz1 2-inch piece peeled coarsely chopped fresh ginger
2 ounces fresh lime juice
2 ounces simple syrup
16 ounces Bully Hill Sparkling Wine
Mint sprigs (for serving)Method
Muddle ginger in a cocktail shaker. Add lime juice and simple syrup. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds. Strain into 4 ice-filled rocks glasses or large wine glasses. Add Sparkling Wine to each and top off with club soda. Gently stir together; garnish with mint.
Sweet Walter Frosé™1 750 ml bottle Bully Hill Sweet Walter Rosé
1/8 cup sugar
8 ounces strawberries, hulled, quartered
2½ ounces fresh lemon juiceMethod
Pour rosé into a 13x9" pan and freeze until almost solid (it won't completely solidify due to the alcohol), at least 6 hours.
Meanwhile, bring sugar and ½ cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Add strawberries, remove from heat, and let sit 30 minutes to infuse syrup with strawberry flavor. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl (do not press on solids); cover and chill until cold, about 30 minutes.
Scrape rosé into a blender. Add lemon juice, 3½ ounces strawberry syrup, and 1 cup crushed ice and purée until smooth. Transfer blender jar to freezer and freeze until frosé is thickened (aim for milkshake consistency), 25–35 minutes.
Blend again until frosé is slushy. Divide among glasses.
Love My Goat Holiday Punch1.5L Love My Goat Red wine
4 cups cranberry-apple juice
3 cups orange juice
36 ounces ginger beer
5 teaspoons vanilla extract
cinnamon sticks, fresh cranberries, oranges, and apples (for garnish)Method
Mix all together. Serve over ice.
Spiced Wine1 1/2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 orange, sliced
3 cinnamon sticks
12 whole cloves
1 bottle of your favorite Bully Hill WineMethod
Combine water with sugar, lemon, orange, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Add wine and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, (you can add more sugar if you like a sweet spiced wine or use a sweeter bottle of wine). Strain and enjoy.
Cherry-Lime Sangria1 bottle of Sweet Walter Cherry
1 fresh lime, juiced
1/2 cup mist twist
1 fresh lime, sliced (garnish)Method
Mix together and serve over ice. This recipe makes enough for 4-5 glasses.
Pineapple Wine Slushie1 bottle of Sweet Walter Pineapple
12 1/2 ounces of pineapple juice
6 1/2 ounces of water
1-2 cups of ice
sliced pineapple (garnish)Method
Put all ingredients in a blend and blend. Garnish with sliced pineapple.
Apple Cider Spiced Wine1/2 NYS Apple Cider (We use Red Jacket Orchards)
1/2 Sweet Walter Cherry
4 Cinnamon SticksMethod
mix all ingredients together, warm, and serve.
Red Wine Hot Chocolate2/3 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate, Chopped (or Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips)
2/3 cup Bully Hill Cabernet Franc
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Half and Half
1/2 tsp Vanilla
Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Chocolate shavings for topping (optional)Method
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted, and mixture is hot. Serve in a mason jar, wine glass, or mug. Optionally, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
